Energiser plays a vital role in the working of an electric fence. Electric fences are classified depending on the energiser used in the fencing. All the characteristics of the fence, the netting and the posts are all chosen according to the voltage of the energiser. Energisers are available in many types the most important of these types are the 12v energisers and the 9v energiser. The choice these power suppliers should be chosen according to our applications and what kind of farm fence we need. The high voltage 12v supplier is essential for fencing horse farms and cattle farms which have long fences. And a 9v supplier is used for small and medium farm fences like, pond fencing and strip grazing fencing.

High voltage and mains energisers aren’t necessary for strip grazing fences. For strip grazing fences we need lighter and mobile battery power suppliers. A 9v volt battery supplier is sufficient and it is light enough to carry where ever we want. But only selecting the right energiser isn’t enough for successful fencing, you need to have complimenting other parts also like the fence insulators and tapes. The fence insulators are the posts which are used to support the fencing and they act as insulators which restrict the current from leaking into the ground. The tapes are used to web the entire fencing in a mesh like design; these tapes are generally made from highly conductive materials and can withstand high physical pressures.

The demand for electric fences is increasing day by day. Most of the farm owners rely on electric fences for protecting their farm animals. Once wooden fencing and barbwire fencings are now replaced by electric fencing. Either it is a temporary electric fence or a permanent one taking all the precautions is necessary. The amount of current passing through the fence must be constantly checked and regulated or else it may be dangerous for the animals. An electric fence tester is the right tool to test the current flow in the fence. Electric fences testers are of many types they can record current voltages from 1000v to 10000v.

The other use of these testers is that they are useful to check whether current is flowing or not when you want to let your animals out. The main advantage of these electric fences is that they do not harm or injure the animals they just create a psychological barrier by giving small shocks. And for chicken fencing and other bird fencing poultry netting is a must to contain the chickens from flying past the fence. The poultry netting is also preferable to use an electric one as they will compliment with the electric fence. You can use the same energiser for both the fence and netting but the energiser that you choose should be capable for supplying constant current to both of them. So, battery energisers aren’t sufficient you should choose a 12v mains energiser which is powerful enough to supply current to both of them.

An energiser is a heart for every electric fence. It is the main supplier of current to the entire fence. The voltage in the electric fence is equal to the voltage of the energiser. They are mainly of two types one is battery energisers and the other are mains energisers. Each of these power suppliers has their own advantages and disadvantages. A farm keeper needs to consider other factors before really picking a fence energiser. A battery one is a portable one and supplies current which is a bit lower when compared with the mains one. The advantages of the battery one are it can be used to temporary fencing which needs regular shifting. There are best suited for strip grazing electric fences.

The mains energisers are used to permanent electric fencing which need constant supply of current. They are also useful high voltage electric fencing like the ones used to fence the cattle and horse electric tape. But not just an energiser makes a difference there a lot of other factors to be considered a high voltage energiser requires high tension electric polytape to withstand high voltages. The posts that are used to support the fence should also be capable enough to withstand high voltages and as the high tension electric fence, weights higher than normal electric fence. And after finalizing all these factors we must decide the best electric fence for our farms. You can also go through electric farm fencing kits which are available in varies price and quality ranges.

Electric fences are used for containing livestock and horses in their paddocks. The electric fence laid for livestock is not suitable for horses and an electric fence laid for horses is not suitable for chickens. So, electric fence has to be laid according to the animal which we raise in our farms. The main parts for an electric fence are conduction cables, energisers and insulators or fencing posts. Every part of an electric fence is necessary for laying a perfect fence. For conduction line normally polywire is used, a polywire are available in many types. These wires are twined to the posts for creating a mesh like design. Polywires are generally made of high conduction materials and wear and tear of the wire should be very less.

The type of wire to be used mainly depends on the type of fencing we are planning to lay. A chicken electric fence requires less tension and less voltage polywire. And whereas horse fencing requires a strong high tension wire should be chosen. All in all the complete efficiency of the electric fence depends on the conduction line itself. So, a wire should be carefully chosen by considering all the above factors. But incase if you are still in a state of confusion then purchasing electric fencing kits is an ideal choice. With their expertise the electric farm fencing companies select the right compilation of tools and accessories to help an inexperienced farm owner to learn all mandatory things for a successful construction of a fence.

Chickens are normally, grown in indoor poultry farms but incase you want to give the chickens a bit more freedom then the raising them outdoors is the option. Though, this seems to be impossible as chicken outdoor can be very hard to capture but with the right kind of electric netting you can allow the chickens enjoy freedom. Chickens which are grown in complete freedom grow healthier providing delicious and healthy chicken. The chickens are also safe from predators as they will be covered by a large electric net. These electric nets can be found with electric fence suppliers.

You can opt for purchasing all the parts separately or you can go with pre designed electric kits. Among these electric kits there are many types and the 12v electric net kit is considered to be the best for outdoor netting. This comes with one 12v battery energiser which is also adaptable with the mains connection. It also consists of 50 meter green flexible netting. Green netting mixes perfectly with the background. Then it has a one meter earth stake which lets the voltage to flow back into energiser there by increasing the performance of the electric fence. Apart from all these it contains one warning sign and a fence tester. A warning sign is useful in warning the people from touching the net and a fence tester is useful in checking the voltage in the netting. All in all poultry netting is considered the best method for containing the chickens and other birds.

Electric fencings are a replacement for the barbwire and wooden fencing. Though, the barbwire fencings cost lesser than the electric fencing, they have been criticized for hurting animals. A barbwire can efficiently hold an animal in the fencing but when an outrageous animal tries to escape the fencing it is bound to get hurt seriously. The best solution for this is an electric fencing. An electric fence helps in containing the animals in a small place without injuring the animal. Electric fence mainly consists of four major parts the first one being the mains and energizers then a conduction line, insulator and an earth stake.

The mains energisers are considered to be the heart of an electric fence. They act as a source and supply current to the conduction line. And a current source needs a conduction line to pass the current from a higher potential region to a lower potential region which is earth here. The earth is a zero potential so the whole current passes into it. Then we need insulators which are electric fencing posts here. An electric fencing post gives support to the fence and also acts as an insulator which keeps a check on current leakage. Normally, when an animal tries to escape it gets caught in this fence then a mild current passes through the animal into the ground and gives a shock to the animal. There by an electric fence acts as a psychological barrier with out hurting it much. You can buy these fencing materials individually or as a whole through electric fencing kits.

Barbwire fencing or wooden fencing was used earlier for containing horses in the farms. Quick animals like horse can easily get intimidated to cross the fence hoping to jump of the fence. This doesn’t just lead to unsuccessful trails but also the horse causes physical damage to itself. The barbwire fencing is a very punishing fence has it causes maximum physical damage to the horse. Earlier, Electric fences were used for controlling the horses but they weren’t that successful. The main reason for this was that horses have poor vision. They can hardly see the fencing wires so they repeatedly run into the fence.

A horse electric fence need to be wide enough so that it would be visible for the horse there by restricting it from charging into the fence. You can either opt for temporary horse fencing or for permanent horse fencing. Temporary horse fencing usually has polyposts which act as insulators and an electric polytape is used as a conductor. The energiser can be chosen according to the size of the farm and length of the fencing. On the other side you can also opt for permanent electric fencing which gives more protection than the temporary fencing. A permanent electric fencing has wooden posts buried deep into the ground and polyposts are used as insulators. The conduction line should be made of highly durable material like Polywire. The energiser should be a highly reliable source of current like a main energiser. You can buy each of these materials separately or it would be better to go with horse fence kits which have all materials in one package.

Electric Poultry Netting is generally an electric net which is used to cover a bunch of chickens. The only difference between normal fencing and poultry netting is that a fencing provides protection only at the sides and whereas a poultry netting provides protection from every angle. There by electric chicken netting is a better option than electric fencing. As chickens can fly to a certain extent they can easier pass through the fencing. And a net helps the keeper to restrain these high flying chickens in the farm. The other most important advantage of netting is that little chickens can be an easy prey of predators like eagles and cats.

Flying predators can snatch a chicken within a snap just by flying past the farm. So, to avoid this electric fencing is a must for chickens and smaller animals like rabbits. An electric rabbit net also severs the same purpose of a chicken net. The only major difference being that a rabbit net is a lot smaller that a chicken net, the spacing in the mesh is smaller. The voltage used in a rabbit net is also lesser. A strong voltage net can kill the rabbits. The posts used for the supporting the net are also lighter and the posts used are mainly polyposts. Whenever the length of the net is not sufficient then you can attach two or more nets using insulator clips. All these are available in electric netting kits but incase you need longer net then you can place an order on the internet.

An electric fence is constructed by assembling the posts, conduction cables and the energisers. The working of the fence is completely dependent on the successful working of the energiser. They are considered as the heart of an electric fence. They are sources of current which supply constant flow of current in to the fence. Energisers are of many types and two of the distinctive fence energisers are the battery energisers and the mains energiser. The main difference between these two being that a battery is used for supplying a current which is pre stored in the battery. And the main energiser uses direct mains current to flow into the fence.

Both have their own advantages and disadvantages. And both of them are equally demanded by the customers. Choosing the right energiser is compulsory for the safety and better profits. A battery energiser is mainly used for temporary electric fencing and for strip grazing electric fencings. As a battery is very much portable it can be carried everywhere and we can constantly change its location, where as the mains energiser is concerned they are mostly used for permanent electric fencing. Though, there is not such rule that only one should be used for one type of fencing they can be interchanging also but you can expect better results when they are used as per recommended. While purchasing electric fencing kits, you can choose either of these energisers. And you can personalize the kits before you purchase from the electric fence suppliers.

Strip grazing kits are almost the normal electric fences which are used to restrict the grass intake of cattle and horses. A strip grazing kit mainly consists of a conduction line, a mobile energiser and pole posts for supporting the fence. The conduction line is primarily made of polytape. As the horses have a less vision other thin wires will be ineffective to use for strip grazing fences. Polytape is ideal for both short and long paddocks. These are made from highly conductive materials and are supported by fence posts which also act insulators which do not let the current to flow into the earth.

The main part of a strip grazing kit is the energiser. The energisers are of many types and them mainly two types they are battery energisers and the other is main energiser. As a strip grazing kit is a temporary fencing it need frequent shifting and for this main energiser isn’t an ideal one. For moving fences battery ones are better suited. A strip grazing kit also comes with a warning sign board which should be laid so has to warn children and people from getting in contact with the fence. The electric fence tester is a very handy tool it checks the voltage in the fencing and allows to keep a constant check on the fence voltage. The range of these testers is about 1000v to 10000v. Electric fencer kits can be found at your nearest farms accessory retail shops or on the internet.
