Barbwire fencing or wooden fencing was used earlier for containing horses in the farms. Quick animals like horse can easily get intimidated to cross the fence hoping to jump of the fence. This doesn’t just lead to unsuccessful trails but also the horse causes physical damage to itself. The barbwire fencing is a very punishing fence has it causes maximum physical damage to the horse. Earlier, Electric fences were used for controlling the horses but they weren’t that successful. The main reason for this was that horses have poor vision. They can hardly see the fencing wires so they repeatedly run into the fence.

A horse electric fence need to be wide enough so that it would be visible for the horse there by restricting it from charging into the fence. You can either opt for temporary horse fencing or for permanent horse fencing.  Temporary horse fencing usually has polyposts which act as insulators and an electric polytape is used as a conductor. The energiser can be chosen according to the size of the farm and length of the fencing. On the other side you can also opt for permanent electric fencing which gives more protection than the temporary fencing. A permanent electric fencing has wooden posts buried deep into the ground and polyposts are used as insulators. The conduction line should be made of highly durable material like Polywire. The energiser should be a highly reliable source of current like a main energiser. You can buy each of these materials separately or it would be better to go with horse fence kits which have all materials in one package.
